NEW PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON SET TO KICK OFF

The All-New FA Women's Premier League Is Set To Kick Off This August With The Possibility Of Promotion To WSL.

The long wait for the newly reformed Premier League will kick off next month with two Premier Divisions; North and South fed by four Division Ones; North, Midlands, South West and South East (formerly the Combination Leagues). This season sees the exciting prospect of one Premier Division team being promoted to the FA WSL 2, a progression strongly fought for for some time.

Last season's runaway league champions in the Northern Division, Sheffield FC will be undoubtedly among the favourites to challenge for promotion. The Southern Division was a much more tightly contested affair last season with the top three teams finishing with between forty and forty-six points compared to Sheffield's fifty-three, sixteen more than second placed Preston North End. However, with the prospect of promotion to play for, the teams may very well have an extra bit of motivation this campaign.

Teams are already strengthening for the upcoming season with strong recruitment drives up and down the country.
