REGIONAL DIVISIONS ROUND-UP 5/1/14

A LOOK AT THE RESULTS FROM ACROSS THE REGIONAL LEAGUES.

REGIONAL PREMIER LEAGUES

North West Regional Premier
in the only surviving fixture, City of Manchester took second place after a 3-1 home win over second bottom Preston North End.

North East Regional Premier
Both York and Whitley Bay move up the league in the only two games to go ahead. York ended three straight defeats without scoring by burying Lepton Highlanders 5-0 at home. Whitley Bay move into fourth place after beating 2nd place Hull City 2-1 at home. Whitley Bay had led the game at half-time 2-0 before Hull pulled on back.

West Midlands Regional Premier
All four fixtures were postponed.

East Midlands Regional Premier
Pelican Ladies maintained their unbeaten status and took the lead at the top of the table with a 5-0 away win over second-bottom Long Eaton Utd. The other game to go ahead was a 3-2 win for Arnold Town over 5th place Ellistown, to move into 6th place.

Southern Regional Premier
All Southern games were called off.

South West Regional Premier
All South West games were called off.

Eastern Regional Premier
Both Eastern matches were postponed.

London & South East Regional Premier
In the only game to survive the weather was the six goal draw between Westfield and Hassocks. It was a much needed point for Hassocks, their eighth and now into 9th place. Both sides move up one place in the league.
